Of course, it goes without saying that I believe this dream can come true through the vehicle of education and certification. I want certification to be recognized as consequential to the reputability of the profession of astrology. For this end, I dedicate my career...and my life!" This dream is reflected in the mission statement of OCA. "The Online College of Astrology aspires to be the leader in online astrological education, dedicated to instilling our students with a commitment to a lifetime of learning, while empowering them to become professional astrologers of the utmost competence, integrity, and compassion." Ena Stanley began her astrological pursuit in 1968 with an impressive background in psychology, ancient history and comparative religions. Her credentials, however, were in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. By this time, her life had disclosed obvious patterns. Even before she was aware that astrology had any value, she would sit at an adding machine putting the dates that corresponded to past crises. A pattern would begin to emerge, which appeared to be every 7 years; then suddenly, an out of sync crisis would throw the whole system off! She longed to uncover the rhythm of these cycles.
